The 2022 Lenten Collection, sponsored by our Social Action Committee, will benefit families and clients of the Prudence Crandall Center and Family Promise in New Britain, and The Underground New England, which mentors survivors of human trafficking. These organizations need your support to help needy families in crisis and to bring lasting freedom, employment and hope to survivors of human trafficking.
PRUDENCE CRANDALL WISH LIST: Gift Cards for Stop & Shop, Aldi, Target & Walmart. Please put gift card in an envelop, marked Lenten Collection and drop in the collection basket or leave them at the Parish center. Household items: cleaning supplies, personal care products, standard size pillow, pots and pan, plates, bowls, cups (glass & plastic), flatware, measuring cups and spoons, mixing bowls, small appliances (coffee makers, toasters, hand mixers), cooking utensils (spatula, whisk, slotted spoon, etc.). Shelf-stable foods: beans, rice, cooking oil, baking mixes, soup, pasta/pasta sauce, cereal, peanut butter, tuna, kids snacks, juice boxes, box macaroni and cheese, canned vegetables and fruits, mayo and ketchup. ALL IEMS MUST BE NEW.
FAMILY PROMISE WISH LIST: paper towels, toilet paper, aluminum foil, zip top plastic bags, facial tissues, laundry soap, dryer sheets, dish soap, dish sponges, garbage bags, toothpaste, antibacterial hand soap, disinfectant spray and wipes, children's shampoo, body wash, feminine products.
THE UNDERGROUND NEW ENGLAND WISH LIST: Gift cards for Stop & Shop and Walmart. Please put gift cards in an envelop marked Lenten Collection and drop in collection basket at church, or leave them at Parish Center.
The collection will continue through Palm Sunday, April 10th. Please leave your donations in one of the three vestibules of the church. Thank you and God Bless.
