I’m So Excited
The members of the Family Life Committee have been working so hard to put together their next two events, the Weekly St. Paul Play Date and the Parent’s Night Out. I’m so grateful for their efforts. There are flyers in the bulletin this week regarding both of these new events. Please take the time to read the flyers and share them with other members of the parish who might not have seen the bulletin.
Keep Your Eyes on Your Inbox
This week we hope to send out the first edition of “The Epistle Online.” This monthly, or maybe biweekly, newsletter will include news from the parish and the Church at large. It will have important
information about upcoming events and quick links to our online parish resources. There is also a section called Know YourFaith, which contains information that will help you deepen your knowledge of our Catholic faith. I hope you enjoy the Epistle. It will be sent out to over 1700 households. If you would like to help serve on the editorial board of the “The Epistle Online,” please call the parish office.
Father you never called!!
Last fall we distributed interest surveys (those blue sheets) where people could express their interest in one or several parish ministries. The response was great; however, with our computer crash we were never able to enter your names and interests into the parish census or contact anyone. Recently someone said to me, “Fr. Robert don’t ask for volunteers if you don’t call us.” Don’t worry. This week Linda Guzzardi and Anne Reilly spent some time entering the information from those sheets into the computer. Once they are done entering in all of that data, we will be able to generate contact lists of anyone interested in joining a parish ministry and share them with the ministry coordinators. In other words, we’ll be calling.
Let us Defend and Promote a Culture of Life
The St Paul Pro-Life Group has a flyer in the bulletin this week. It is so important for each and every one of us to promote a culture of life in our country. When Pope John Paul II visited Denver, he said, "The culture of life means respect for nature and protection of God's work of creation. In a special way, it means respect for human life from the first moment of conception until its natural end. Let us defend a “culture of life." If you are interested in being a member of this ministry, please tear off the bottom of the flyer and drop it in the collection basket or sign up on our website.
Very Important Information for all Catholics.
I placed a video of Archbishop Dolan on the Parish website. It is only 4 minutes long, but his message is very important. If you have a chance, please go to our website and watch the video. Please share it with your friends. Knowledge is empowering.
Calling all Altar Servers
Next week there will be a flyer in the Bulletin inviting the young men and women in our parish to
become Altar Servers. To be an Altar Server you must be in the 4th Grade or higher and be willing to serve the parish in this most important Ministry. Why not make your Grandma proud and be an Altar Server? Think about it.
My Dad
Today was my Dad’s Birthday. He was a great man and he died 14 years ago. To be honest, it seems like yesterday. Please remember him in your prayers.
God Bless,
Fr. Robert
