Be a part of our first Riverfront Earth Day in Hartford on Sunday, April 21!
The free event, co-sponsored by OCSJM and the Interreligious Eco-Justice Network, will begin with an Interfaith Prayer Service at 12:45 pm at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, 285 Church Street in Hartford, followed by a peaceful march from there to the Riverfront Mortensen Plaza.
The Riverfront Mortensen Plaza will offer an array of speakers, exhibits, food, and entertainment from 1:00-4:00 PM, all celebrating how we can care for our earth and our environment, and create a healthy "home" for generations to come.
Born out of a need to break the "climate silence," Riverfront Earth Day offers an opportunity to raise awareness about climate change, while celebrating the great work of many organizations, companies and individuals who are making a difference on this important issue. Hands-on activities, art displays and informational resources will engage the whole family!
Anyone interested in participating in the march, should register online (click the green "Register" button) and send contact information to the organizer to receive up-to-date information about the march, including parking instructions and a map of the march route.
