Saint Clare Food Pantry


Thank you in advance for supporting this new initative to help feed the hungry.


Blue shopping bags were distributed after Masses during the weekend of Jan. 27/28. Please remember to keep the bag in your car and bring it into the grocery store when you shop.

Any items you purchase for the poor can be placed in the bag and dropped off before Mass on the weekends.  Please remember to keep the bag, so you will have it in your car for your next shoppping trip.

Food collected will be distributed to both the Foodshare Program (at the Sacred Heart Church campus) and the St. Mary’s Food Pantry in New Britain. 

Volunteers will be needed to help with collecting food, transporting items to the storage area in the church basement, sorting food, stocking shelves, etc.

There will also be a planning meeting on Monday, Febrary 12th at 6:30 pm in the Parish Center. 

All who are interested in volunteering are welcome to attend this meeting.  Since this is a weekly, ongoing ministry, there will be many opportunities to assist.
