The religious awards program is a voluntary program that a scout chooses to undertake to deepen his faith and live out the scout law that says “A scout is reverent”. The programs take anywhere from 6 months to a year to complete. The scout meets with his religious counselor outside of their regularly scheduled weekly scout meetings. There is a workbook and outside activities that the scout must do to earn his emblem. All scouts were recognized at the Annual Archdiocese of Hartford Catholic Boy Scout Committee recognition Sunday on May 15, 2011, and on September 11 at St. Paul Church.
