Important dates and requirements for the first-year Confirmation program:

1. Please return your signed Confirmation Contracts to your teacher or the Parish Center ASAP, if you have not already done so.
2. Please bookmark our parish website: www.stpaulkensington.org. Click on the Parish Ministries tab, then select Religious Education from the drop down menu. Once on the Religious Ed page, you will see a Submenu on the left side of the page, which includes the school-year calendar, as well as a link to the Confirmation Program page, where you'll find service opportunities and a downloadable version the Service Tracking sheet, among other information.
3. Also on the parish website: past issues of the church bulletin. Important reminders are communicated via the bulletin and church website. Please make it a habit to read the bulletin online weekly, especially if you are unable to pick up a copy after mass.
4. Service Hours are not limited to those listed on our website or available through our church. If your son/daughter is a volunteer for a town or an organization's activity and you are not sure if it counts toward Confirmation service hours, call or email our office at 860-828-1934 or [email protected].
5. Students must attend the ENTIRE class to receive credit. Do not arrive or leave more than 10 minutes late or early.
6. There are 1-2 classes a month, depending on the month, plus a retreat (Sun., Dec.8, 2013 from 3:30-8:30 p.m. in the school gym). Please plan accordingly.
7. Your son/daughter can not miss more than TWO classes. Any missed class and quiz must be made up.
8. Be sure to fill out a mass card and deposit it in the collection basket each week. If you can not find any cards, write your name, grade and teacher on a bulletin or another piece of paper and place that in the collection basket. If you attend another church on any given week, get a copy of their bulletin, write your name on it, and turn it in to the Parish Center or your teacher. On particularly hectic weekends, you might consider attending either of these Sunday evening services: 5 p.m. at Sacred Heart in E. Berlin or 7 p.m. at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center in W. Hartford.
