Thank You Thank You Thank You
As you can see from the thermometers and the insert in the bulletin we met and surpassed our primary goal for the Faith in the Future Campaign. We have a total of $1,435,509.00 in pledges and several people have informed us that they still intend to make a pledge. When I realized that we would make and exceed our primary goal, it was decided by the KGS Committee and the Campaign Committee that we would use any excess funds to try to replenish the parish reserves of $400,000 that we used to purchase the property and also see what other site enhancements might be included in the project. If you were intending to make a contribution but just had not gotten around to it, please consider following through with your pledge. I promise you we will use it wisely.
I am so amazed and grateful for the parish’s support for this important endeavor. Just like Fr. Brennan and the parishioners left us the gift of our beautiful Church and all of our property, we will leave a wonderful gift for those who will follow us. Thanks Again.
Christmas Concert
Every year our Music Ministry has a Christmas Concert. It is always beautiful and peaceful and a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. As in the past “Exultations!” our children’s choir, is also performing. Tired from the rat race, do you have writer’s cramp from addressing those Christmas Cards? Why not relax a little and come on over to Church tonight (Sunday Night at 5:00 PM). You won’t regret it.
Forgiveness is ours for the asking.
Once again, this year we will be having our Christmas Confessions on December 18th (Don’t stop reading). Sadly of late, fewer and fewer people seem to take advantage of the sacrament. I go to confession regularly, and while it’s not always easy going in, I go because I don’t want anything to come between me and my relationship with God. Going to Confession helps me hold myself accountable and experience God’s love and forgiveness. There will be 5 priests hearing confession (All of us are Teddy Bears). In the next few days, why not stop and reflect on your life. Ask yourself, “What can I do better, what mistakes have I made? What is holding me back from being the person I want to be and God wants me to be?” When you’ve thought about it, please consider coming to the Sacrament of God’s Mercy. I assure you that being completely at peace with God is a wonderful feeling.
Thank you to the 21 people who put a written Hail Mary in the Immaculate Conception envelope last week! God Bless You!
