OUR CHURCH CALENDAR
In the next couple of weeks, the Parish Staff will be having a calendar meeting to plan out next year. By doing so, I hope we can avoid the mishaps of this year when Parish Council and School Board Meetings were scheduled on the same day and the same time. It is my hope that we will also be able to avoid scheduling events like the Homefront Project on the same day as First Communion. If you are in charge of a parish event and would like to present a date for your event next year, please email ourchurch@stpaulkensington.org and be sure to include your phone number in case there is a problem. You can also call Flora in the Parish Office if you don't do email.
Anyone in the world can view our Parish calendar. Simply go to our parish website stpaulkensington.org and click on our parish calendar at the top. When you do so, you will see everything that is scheduled by the Parish, Religious Education Program and School. If you want to schedule a meeting, it is always best to look at the online calendar first to see if something else is already scheduled.
I DON'T DO INTERNET
God bless you. We know that a lot of you are not interested in the internet or computers. Patty LaVette, our Communications Coordinator, makes an extra special effort to type the entire weekly schedule in the bulletin. (No small task, but you are worth it !!! )
FIRST COMMUNIONS
Our First Communions are over, and I have to say I was touched by both the sincerity of our First Communicants and the sacrifices of their parents. A special shout out to those children who came to Church the next day in their First Communion outfits. You made our parishioners so happy to see you. Your presence in our Church brought back so many great memories for so many people. See you in 4thGrade next year... The pictures of all of our First Communicants can be found on our website.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS
Our Religious Education Department is already focusing on next year. PARENTS OF CHILDREN WHO ATTEND RELIGIOUS EDUCATION here at St Paul: PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL REGULARLY! All of the information you need to register your children will be sent to you via email. Communicating with email saves us a lot of money, which gives us more resources to spend on the kids.
