Whew !!
The packages are wrapped, the house is cleaned or almost cleaned, the decorations are up, the cookies are baked, the cards are written or printed, and now it’s time to sit... and if you don’t fall asleep because you are so exhausted, it’s time to be with your friends, your family and your God.
Try this when the kids are asleep. Turn down the lights, light up the tree and just sit. If you have some old time Christmas carols, put them on and listen carefully to those words and melodies you have heard so many times before. Relax, you deserve it. When we are able to find a little quiet and calm in our lives, then God’s quiet gentle voice is able to be heard. I assure you consolation, hope, forgiveness, etc...etc...are all the fruits of our conversations with God. Just turn down the volume of the world and listen.
“God so loved the World that he sent his only Son that all who believe in him might not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Attention Illustrious College Students
Holy Ones...now that you’ve slept a week, and are adjusting to your family routines again, imagine no play station until 3:00 am and no sleeping until 1:00 in the afternoon or later. Don’t forget that we would like to invite you to come to a dinner made just for you. It will be held here at St. Paul Church on January 5th, at 6:30pm in our church hall. Please email me at [email protected]if you plan on coming. Can’t wait to see you…
