Wow Wow Wow !!!
This year, our parish goal for the good work of the Annual Archbishop’s Appeal was $85,000 and I have just learned that last Friday we passed the $95,000 mark. Thank you so much for your support of this very important initiative. I assure you, your generosity will touch the lives of many people who are in need.
How did that happen ?
I’m not sure how it happened, but for some reason, there are three envelops for this week. I have asked the Parish Staff to make sure that this does not happen again. Next time a mandated Archdiocesan collection happens when our monthly maintenance collection is being taken we will move the monthly maintenance collection. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Goodbye Mrs. Piecewicz and Thank You !!!
This has indeed been an incredible year. I was surprised and saddened when Mrs. Laurie Piecewicz informed me that she would not be returning to Saint Paul School next year. In the short time she has been with us, Mrs. Piecewicz has helped us all understand and appreciate the incredible potential of the little school we all love so much. Recently, after a visit, Sr. Kathleen Fitz Simons, the Assistant Superintendent of Schools, told me, “Fr. Robert, I have never seen Saint Paul School at a better place. The scores are up, the faculty, staff and students are happy and the curriculum advancements that your teachers have made this year have been exceptional.” I agree with her assessment X 10.”
I want to assure you that we remain completely committed to our Parish School. I also want you to know that I have already contacted the search committee and have scheduled the first meeting of the committee tasked with helping us find our next principal. We will do everything in our power to find the best candidate possible for our fine school. I promise.
Saturday 4:00 PM Mass People
Sorry for the heat last week. It seems our main air-conditioning unit in the new wing was just not ready to face the Summer heat. Thank goodness for our service contract. The repair company was here in a flash and everything seems to be working fine now.
Fire trucks and Police cars
Fr. Robert, what were all those fire trucks and police cars doing in front of St. Paul School last Saturday? Sadly, our fire alarm malfunctioned at the same time someone left the front door of the school unlocked. The combination made our public servants suspect vandalism and necessitated a search of the building by our very dedicated town police dogs. Once the dogs gave the all clear, the fire alarm was fixed and all was well.
