Dear Friends,
Last Sunday morning when my phone rang at 5:30 am, I thought it was someone needing to be anointed. Instead, I was informed that my mother had pushed her Life Alert button and was being taken to the hospital. By 6:00 am I was on the road driving to Buffalo to see her. Thank goodness Fr. Peter and Fr. Raymond are able to cover the parish while I’m gone. Mom is in very serious condition, and as I write this, I am not sure when I’ll be back. I’m sure you will all understand that your Mom is your Mom. Please continue to keep us all in your prayers.
Catholic School Week
I understand that Catholic School Week is going very well. There are already many applications for Pre- K and Kindergarten. There are also a number of applications for our 6th Grade & Middle School. Our parish loves its kids and like any family, we are willing to sacrifice for our children. That’s why we have a very good Religious Education Program and that’s why we have a wonderful Catholic School. If you know of anyone who might be interested in having their children attend St. Paul School, please encourage them to come and see the small class size, the small family atmosphere, the incredible test scores and what a faith-based education can offer their children. For more information about St. Paul School, please contact Fayne Molloy, School Principal, or Ellen Bertolami, Admissions Director at (860)828-4343.
The Light Is On For You
In the near future every family in our parish will be receiving a letter from me regarding the new Archdiocesan Program called “The Light Is On For You.” It will begin on the first Monday in Lent and continue through the Lenten season. Please read the letter and take it to heart.
As I dictate this little note to you, I am driving up to Buffalo General Hospital. I’m sure in my absence the other Friars and our great parish staff will be able to take care of any need you might have.
God bless you all,
Fr. Robert
