CONGRATULATIONS JENNIFER MAGNOLI Jennifer Magnoli is a 2014 graduate of Saint Paul School and a freshman now at Mercy high School. At the annual CT-VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) "Voice of Democracy" Awards Dinner, Jennifer Magnoli won the 2015 "Voice of Democracy" (VOD) essay contest held annually throughout the state and nationally for all high school students who wish to participate. The theme of this year's essay was "Why veterans are important to our nation's history and future." As a result of her winning essay, selected out of hundreds submitted throughout the state, she will be sponsored by the Department of CT-VFW to attend their annual "Legislative Conference" in Washington DC to compete in their national finals later this March. While there, she will be escorted (with a bunch of proud veterans), along with the other 49 state winners, throughout the halls on Capitol Hill meeting legislators, watching Congress in session, etc.
