The Pastoral Department for Small Christian Communities presents "Creation, Communion and the Universe Story"
on Saturday, November 13th, at St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, CT from 9AM to 2:30 PM. A fee of $10.00 includes
lunch.
In the past 50 years modern science has enriched our ability to understand more deeply just how glorious is God's handiwork in creation. This day of reflection will offer small church communities, pastors and others an opportunity to deepen the sprituality of communion from which we live and to engage with our responsibility for the care of the whole planet Earth that births, nurtures and sustains us.
Presenters of this program will be Mary Evelyn tucker and John Grim. Both serve as Senior Lecturers and Senior Scholars at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in addition to holding appointments at Yale in the Divinity School and the Department of Religious Studies. For many years they were close collaborators with Thomas Berry and have recently edited a collection of his essays under the title, "The Christian Future and the Fate of the Earth" To preview the forthcoming film by Brian Swimme and May Evelyn Tucker, go to www.journeyoftheuniverse.org.
Registration deadline is November 3rd. Call the Pastoral Department of Small Christian Communities, Archdiocese of Hartford, at (860)761-7450 or e-mail: [email protected].
