WHAT ABOUT FASTING & REFRAINING FROM MEAT?
“Fast” means that, if you are 18 years old or older, but under 60 years old, you may take only one full meal and two smaller meals that, taken together, do not equal one full meal. “Abstinence” means that if you are 14 years old or older, you are to refrain from meat.
DAILY MASS IS AT 7:00AM & 5:30PM ( NOT 5:00PM)
During Lent, the weekday (Monday through Friday) evening Mass will be at 5:30 pm instead of 5 pm in order for people who are working to get to Mass.
NOON MASS & LENTEN LUNCH ON WEDNESDAYS
Also, during Lent, we will continue the tradition of offering a noon Mass on Wednesdays followed by a simple Lenten lunch in the Church hall. This will continue until the Wednesday before Holy Week.
ALL FRIDAYS DURING LENT
Fridays are days of abstinence. In other words, if you are 14 years or older, you are to refrain from meat.
