Recently Archbishop Blair mandated that each parish in the Archdiocese of Hartford conduct a “
Parish Listening Session.”
The purpose of this synod, or assembly, is to provide the archdiocese feedback from its parishioners on three questions:
· What are we as an archdiocese doing well?
· What are we as an archdiocese not doing so well?
· What as an archdiocese are we not doing that we should be doing?
St. Paul’s listening session will be a “ town hall style meeting” in which all parishioners are encouraged to attend and to respond to the three presented questions. The comments shared at this meeting will be submitted to the Office of the Synod at the Chancery.
Although there will be no priests present at this assembly, Father Joseph, as he has frequently expressed, is a firm believer in “listening.” Your feedback will support his goal to provide effective leadership relevant to the needs of St. Paul parishioners.
St. Paul’s listening session is scheduled for
Tuesday, August 21st, at 7pm in the Church Hall. Recent years have brought some changes, challenges, and blessings to our parish. This meeting is an opportunity for all to reflect and provide constructive feedback for our future endeavors.
