Fr. Robert is really grateful to those seniors and care-givers who attended our information sessions on benefits given by Pat Ashburn last week. This was one of many programs we hope to have in the future to guide and inform our seniors. See below…..
ATTENTION SENIOR CITIZEN DRIVERS
If you are 65 years of age or older, you have an opportunity to participate in the Mature Driver Safety Program offered through the Injury Prevention Center/Trauma Institute in Hartford, CT. Have your driving safety abilities screened and evaluated.
The program is free of charge (You will receive a $5.00 Dunkin Donuts gift card as a token of appreciation for your time). This 30-40 minute screening takes place at the Berlin Senior Center. This is a research study designed help seniors drive safer and longer. Participation in this program will provide you with immediate tips and recommendations that will assure and improve your driving safety. This screening also provides one to two follow-up screening appointments.
IT IS VERY EASY. You will be screened by an injury prevention specialist who will guide you through a 30-minute computer-based touch screen. Computer knowledge is not necessary in order to be screened. Screenings are private. Confidentiality of your information is assured. To make an appointment, please call 860-249-1245. Request the Mature Driver Safety Program screening appointment.
