Our SOCIAL ACTION MINISTRY is holding a Thanksgiving Food Collection
through November 2nd.The Social Action committee sponsors 30 families in Berlin chosen by Berlin Social Services to receive special Thanksgiving groceries. Please leave Thanksgiving items on the usual food collection tables near the church entrances. Thank you for your generosity as we approach the holiday season.Donation suggestions:
HOLIDAY SPECIFIC: Vegetables (canned), Cranberry sauce, Fruit (canned and fruit cups), Salad dressing, Potatoes (cans, box, no 5lb bags please), Cake mix and frosting, Sweet potatoes, Pie crust & fillings, Gravy (pkgs or jars), Cookies, Stuffing, Paper plates, napkins, Juice (box or can)PANTRY/SPECIAL FOODS: Soups and beef stew, Cereal, Rice, Sugar / flour, Spaghetti sauce and pasta, Snack foods, Ravioli, Crackers, Macaroni and cheese, Jello / pudding, Canned meat or fish, Peanut butter and jelly, Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, Low fat and low salt vegetables, Mayonnaise, Sugar fresh fruits, juices, cookies, snacks.

Volunteers are needed to pack up food for needy families. Please join members of the Social Action Committee, adult volunteers and Confirmation students on Sat., Nov. 3 , in the Sacred Heart Church Hall from 9am until Noon. Cars are also needed to transport the food to the former Pistol Creek Country Club (600 Spruce Brook Road) after the packing is completed.
