Our St. Clare Food Pantry in conjunction with our Social Action Committee is sponsoring our annual Thanksgiving Food Collection.
As in the past, we will be contributing food to support the Town of Berlin Food Bank by providing Thanksgiving dinners for 30 Berlin families in need. This is in addition to our biweekly support of Mobile Food Share and St Clare's Pantry. THANK YOU to all of our parishioners who have supported and continue to support St Clare's Pantry. In January 2022, the Pantry will be five years old and it has been a wonderfully successful ministry of our parish and your generosity has been fantastic. We also have 60-70 volunteers who regularly show up & make our Pantry run efficiently. Kudos volunteers! This year, the deadline we are under to provide the food for the "30 Families" is Saturday, November 6th. We are currently in need of the following traditional Thanksgiving food items:
Instant Potatoes, Canned Yams/Sweet Potatoes, Turkey Gravy, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Pie Filling and Pie Crusts/Mixes, Flour, Sugar and Baking Mixes.
Additionally, the staff of the Berlin Food Bank are making a special request for the following items:
Mayo, Jams/Jellies, Pudding Snacks/Jello, Cereal, Crackers and Hot Chocolate.
Please leave contributions on the carts at the entrances to the church. The recipients of the food bank and the pantry are predominantly seniors so please keep that in mind when you are shopping. Anyone wishing to make a monetary gift can make checks payable to St Paul Parish indicating "St. Clare Pantry" on the memo line and drop it in the basket at Mass.
