You will recall that Archbishop Blair has asked that all parishes establish an hour of Eucharistic Adoration at least once a week. Archbishop Blair in implementing this practice said we are doing so to "
implore from the Lord an increase in ordinations to the priesthood in the Archdiocese of Hartford and increased vocations to consecrated life, as well as prayer for the fruitful outcome to our 2020 Synod, and reparation for the sins and crimes of sexual abuse by clergy in the Church."
We will begin having that hour of adoration on Tues., Nov. 6thprior to the 5pm Mass.
Going forward the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed each Tuesday at 4pm and then we will pray Vespers (Evening Prayer) which will take about 15 minutes. The remaining time will be quiet prayer until Benediction at 4:50pm which will be followed by the regular 5pm Mass. You can come for all or part of that time.
We’ll test this time out for at least a couple months and then see how it works out and if needed could make changes. No time is ideal nor can it meet everyone’s schedule, but if you can come for even part of the time, please join us in prayer before our Eucharistic Lord
