The New Britain Council of Catholic Women is pleased to announce our scholarship winners for 2018. Riley White of Saint Katherine Drexel Parish received $1,000 and will be entering Iona College in the fall. Oliver Klimas of Sacred Heart Parish also received $1,000 and will be entering Xavier High School in the fall. The Council wishes both recipients much success in their academic pursuits.
The New Britain Council of Catholic Women is supporting a Works of Peace Program called the Madonna Plan. The Madonna Plan funds projects that empower women by improving the well-being of mothers and expectant mothers in the areas of health, education and financial security. Click for more information...

Recently the New Britain Council of Catholic Women sent our members a request to help fund our scholarship efforts by contributing to a “bakeless” cake sale. If you haven’t responded to this request yet, the council asks that you consider making a donation so that we may offer the same number of scholarships that we were able to offer last year. The New Britain Council of Catholic Women will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 8th at Saint Jerome Church (1010 Slater Road, New Britain) for their annual Mass dedicated to the deceased members of the Council. Mass will begin at 1:30pm. A short meeting will follow the mass. Members and non-members are invited to share in the blessings of the mass and the refreshments and raffle that will follow.
