The 40 Days For Life Campaign helps to educate people about abortion. Running from late September to early November, 40 Days for Life helps people in local communities end the injustice of abortion through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and peaceful vigils at abortion facilities. To all those who responded to the parish-wide email concerning CT House Bills 5416 and 5417, THANK YOU! How appropriate that on the Monday of Holy Week, two bills that took aim at the sanctity of human life died in committee. Although the legislative session does not end until May, and there is a remote possibility that both proposals could resurface attached to another piece of legislation, the voices of those who hold steadfast to the belief that all life has value have been heard and heeded. The Annual Archdiocesan Respect Life Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Leonard P. Blair on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford.
