Trunk O' Treat 2020 is ON!

• TRUNK In-Person Participants: Thank you so much for volunteering to decorate a trunk for our event tonight. It looks like precipitation will end around 3:00, so we are going ahead with the event as planned. Please let us know by 3:00 if your plans have changed. Text Jen Jurgen at 860-301-3516. Otherwise, we will see you for trunk set-up between 6:15-6:45. The event starts at 7. Reminder: Handing out treats at each trunk is NOT allowed this year due to health concerns. We will hand out treats at the end of the drive-through.

• PUMPKIN Drop-Off Participants:   Thank you for volunteering to share your carved/decorated pumpkin for Trunk ‘o Treat. Please drop off your pumpkin anytime between 3:00 and 6:00 in the gazebo area of the Parish Green. If you would like your pumpkin returned to you, please text Jen Jurgen with a photo of it (860-301-3516) or come by to pick it up at the conclusion of the event at 7:45 p.m.

• TRUNK and/or PUMPKIN Remote Participants:  If you have decided you will NOT participate in person, please send us a photo of your family with your decorated pumpkin or trunk! Email pics to ourphotos@stpaulkensington.org. Please be sure to INCLUDE YOUR LAST NAME with the photo. Email your photo before 7pm to be considered for the Best Trunk/Best Pumpkin! Winners will be announced after the event!

• DRIVE- THRU Participants:  We hope to see you tonight! Even though the weather may deter some trunk/pumpkin volunteers from participating, we will still have some decorations along the way, and will be handing out Halloween treats and collecting items for the food pantry. Please arrive within the time slot you signed up for to alleviate any traffic issues. Thank you!

This year's event will be DIFFERENT than in the past.
It will be a drive-thru event.

• TRUNKS - Park with your decorated trunk for attendees to enjoy as they drive by. We need at least 20 car volunteers!

 

• PUMPKINS - Drop off decorated/carved pumpkins for table display (see photos below for examples)  We need at least 10 decorated pumpkins!

 

• LOGISTICS - Help with setup, traffic control, handing out treats, collecting canned goods or clean up.

 

• All volunteers  must sign up ahead of time. See signup link below.

 

• Prizes for "Best Trunk" AND "Best Pumpkin" will be awarded!

 

• Attendees will receive a Treat at the end of the drive through!

 

• Attendees are asked to donate canned goods for the food pantry. These will be collected at the end of the drive through for those who wish to donate.
