Social Action Ministry
Our Social Action Ministry is a small group of dedicated, hardworking men and women who organize projects to help meet community needs both within and outside of the parish. Events and Collections are held throughout the year, thanks to the efforts of the committee members and thanks to the very generous support from our parishioners!
Social Action Committee Projects include:
- Mobile FoodShare/St. Clare Food Pantry
- Thanksgiving Food Collection
- Angel Tree– collection of Christmas presents for the poor, those facing crisis or homelessness, and the elderly
- Adopt a Family
- Hot Stuff Collection – soups/hot beverages – held before Lent begins
- Lenten Collection – collection of non-food items during Lent
- Cold Stuff – held in June – collection of cold drinks for the Friendship Center in New Britain
- Baby Items Collection
- HomeFront Day – home repairs for a local family in need – 1st weekend in May. Visit our HomeFront page for details.
