Welcome!

If you are an adult interested in becoming Catholic OR an adult, baptised Catholic and have received Holy Communion but have yet to be Confirmed, we currently have two programs in place to assist you.

OCIA – Order of Christian Initiation for Adults

ACP – Adult Confirmation Program

The OCIA PROGRAM is for adults who would like to become Catholic.

OCIA – Fr. Raymond meets weekly in a small group setting, beginning on September 20, 2026, with those who want to learn more about our Catholic faith. Sessions focus on the teachings and experience of the Church, and participants prepare to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism (if never Baptised), Confirmation and the Eucharist during the Easter season. Meetings will be held at 10:00am every Sunday from Sept. 20 through Easter. (Easter Sunday falls on March 28, 2027).

Our ADULT CONFIRMATION PROGRAM (ACP) at St. Paul Parish is for adult Catholics who never received the Sacrament of Confirmation for various reasons and would like to be Confirmed. Over the past several years, our parish has held a six-week Adult Confirmation Program twice per year, one session in the spring and another in the fall. Details are below.

Sessions for our 6-week ACP Program will be held on the following dates: August 23, August 30, September 6, September 20, October 4, and October 18. The Confirmation will take place in St. Joseph’s Cathedral on October 27.

ACP is open to adult Catholics in the Archdiocese who:

are at least 18 years old
have been baptized and received First Holy Communion
never received the Sacrament of Confirmation
if married, are in a valid Catholic marriage. (If married outside the Catholic Church and would like to have your marriage recognized in the Church, please contact one of the friars. The convalidation must be done prior to Confirmation.)

The program culminates with the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford on the evening of October 27, 2026.

Meeting times will be from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. The specific location/meeting room will be determined based on the number of people who sign up to attend.
