Confirmation Calls Us to Put Our Faith In Action

Service Hours must be completed at/through Saint Paul Parish or selected Saint Paul School events. Service done at school or other organizations does not count toward Confirmation Service hours. The purpose of the Service Events is to introduce the students to various ministries in our parish.

Students must use the SERVICE HOUR LOG FORM below to record each service event they complete.

The list of Service Events shown below is updated regularly. Check back here often to see all of the upcoming opportunities.

  • Community Garden – ongoing throughout the summer. Hatchery Brook Community Garden on Orchard Road in Berlin. Saint Paul Parish once again is planting and tending to a 10 X 25 garden plot in the Hatchery Brook Community Garden on Orchard Road in Berlin. The food grown will be distributed from Town Hall through their food bank program and from our Parish though our Saint Clare Food Pantry distribution. Help is need to clean up, plant, weed, water and harvest.   • Bible Story Adventures – Week of August 17-21 from 4:30-7:00 pm on the Saint Paul Parish Green (or church hall if needed due to weather). Must be available for all 5 evenings. Youth Ministry is gearing up for a week of fun leading our smaller friends into the adventures of 5 Bible Stories. We need teen volunteers from ages 13 and up are needed to help set up and lead activities with the younger kids. We will be providing dinner for all.   • St. Clare/Foodshare Distribution – Sacred Heart Church, 48 Cottage St., East Berlin from 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Help is needed on select Fridays in the summer to help carry the groceries to the vehicles of those who come to our Foodshare distribution. You must find your own transportation to and from the church. You do not have to attend all 3 dates. Each shift is 45 minutes but will count as 1 service hour. CLICK THIS FOODSHARE LINK TO SIGN UP.

Please use this form to enter completed Service Events. Two Service Events are required per year for a total of four events that must be completed prior to being confirmed. These events must be through St. Paul Parish. The purpose of these Service Events is to introduce the students to our parish community and various ministries.
