The mission of the Music Ministry is to celebrate our Lord through music. What is necessary is a desire to praise and glorify God through song, and an interest in working in a group to provide our parishioners a connection to their faith through the celebration of music.

Adult Choir The Adult Choir sings at the 10:00 am Mass on Sundays and at other special liturgies throughout the year. It is composed of individuals with varying musical talents. Rehearsals are held weekly at the Parish Center.

Cantors Cantors are individuals with a pleasant voice, good presence, and an ear for music, who lead the community in song. Cantors are selected based on experience and skill and follow a rotating schedule.

Youth Choir Our Youth Choir, ‘Exultations’, allows our young people to become actively involved in their faith by singing with a group at special times of
the year (Christmas & Easter), and at Children’s Masses (approximately once per month), leading the congregation in musical worship and prayer. All children in Grades 1-8 are most welcome!

The Director is Cheryl Kramer-Tierney. Cheryl is a vocal music teacher in the West Hartford Public Schools. She received a Bachelor and Master of Music Education degrees from the Hartt School of Music. She has been a frequent clinician for local school districts and many national music organizations. Cheryl is a former faculty member of the InterMuse Academy at Brigham Young University and currently teaches Choral Pedagogy at Hartt School of Music. In 2008, Cheryl was named Choral
Director of the Year by the Connecticut Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association.
