The St. Paul Ladies’ Guild welcomes all women of the parish. Meetings are held monthly, usually the first Wednesday, at which the members can enjoy a variety of programs, discuss business, and socialize.

Faith being the foundation of our group, the programs are planned to strengthen it. Each year we celebrate and remember the lives of our deceased members in November and pray the Rosary in May. We listen to programs of musical performers and speakers and participate in crafts and games. We enjoy a Christmas banquet and a June banquet at which the new officers are installed.

The Guild contributes to activities and needs within the parish, especially scholarships for students of Saint Paul School. We support the Quilters and the Shawl ministries. We collect food for Foodshare distribution and support local social organizations. We look for special projects within the parish. The Ladies’ Guild paid for the railings around La Pieta in our Prayer Garden. Several years ago, we contributed to the construction of one of the Reconciliation rooms. We recently purchased an AED device for the church, and we are currently replacing the upholstery of the kneelers and chairs in the sanctuary.

Fundraisers are planned annually. In November a quilt raffle is held at which quilts created by our members are donated for the lucky winners. A bakeless Bake Sale is sponsored in January. We also participate in Boscov’s and Puerto Vallarta fundraisers.

The Ladies’ Guild supports the New Britain Council of Catholic Women of which many of our ladies are members. The National Council of Catholic Women acts through its members to support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership, and service.

With the continued help of the Friars and the St. Paul family, the Ladies’ Guild members hope to share their time and talents for many years to come.
